airBaltic has reported a continuing strong start to the year, carrying 360,700 passengers in March 2024: a 24% increase compared to the same month in 2023. A total of 3,600 flights were operated during the month, also a 16% increase from the previous year. “In March, we transported nearly 100 thousand more passengers than in the previous month, affirming our position as the preferred airline in the Baltic States,” explained airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss. He added that the Latvian national carrier has also “identified opportunities to expand the airBaltic’s network in Central and Southeast Europe by adding new destinations and increasing flight frequencies to other popular destinations”. This year, airBaltic will add 18 new routes: eight from Latvia, four from Estonia, five from Lithuania and one from Finland.
