Latvian national airline airBaltic announced it carried 325,300 passengers in November 2023 compared to 270,000 in November 2022. This marks a 21% increase in passengers despite the typically lower demand in the beginning of the winter season.
In the same period, the airline also performed 3,480 flights up from 3,000 the previous year, marking a 16% increase.
“We are pleased to see that the number of people choosing airBaltic as their preferred airline continues to grow in November compared to the same period last year,” said Martin Gauss, president and CEO of airBaltic. “Our recent launch of 13 new routes from all our home markets marks the largest number of new routes in a winter season ever seen at airBaltic, generating significant interest and providing passengers with a wide range of travel options.”
The 13 new routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Tampere were announced on November 4, 2023.
