airBaltic passenger numbers, load factor dips in July

Latvian airline airBaltic reported a dip in passenger numbers and in its average load factor for July 2025.

Passenger numbers for the month declined 4% to 539,300. Load factor dropped 2.4 percentage points to 86.4%. The airline operated 4,455 flights during the month; a 0.7% decline compared to July last year.

“The minor decrease in operational figures was expected, mainly due to network optimisation efforts carried out at the beginning of the year,” the airline said in a statement.

However, for the first seven months of 2025, airBaltic carried 2.9 million passengers, marking a 4.6% increase on the same period last year. Load factor for the period averaged at 79.5%, up 0.6 percentage points. The airline operated 26,969 flights, up 2.6%.
