Latvian airline airBaltic has partnered with Air India on June 3, 2025.

The partnership will enable both airlines to sell connecting tickets that include flights operated by each other, allowing for seamless travel between Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and India.

The agreement expands the route networks of both carriers and enhances travel convenience for passengers by offering more flexible and connected itineraries between these regions.

“The cooperation will bring mutual benefits to both airlines and our passengers,” commented airBaltic interim CEO and COO Pauls Calitis. “We are excited about this development and look forward to our partnership, especially as we observe a steady increase in passenger traffic between the Baltics and India.”

Air India chief commercial officer added: “Our new partnership with airBaltic strengthens our extended worldwide network and provides easy access to our guests to and from the Baltics, an emerging tourism region for Indians, consisting of nations with which India's trade ties continue to grow.”

The deal was announced at IATA's 81st annual general meeting, held in New Delhi, India.

Additionally, the airline launched new direct flights from Tallinn and Vilnius to Tirana. With this addition, the airline has connected all three Baltic capitals — Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius — are now directly connected to the Albanian capital.

The airline said demand for travel between the Baltics and Albania has “grown significantly” and, as a result, introduced this new route.

The Tallinn to Tirana route will be operated twice a week until the end of September. The Vilnius to Tirana route will also operate twice weekly.

airBaltic has also expanded its network in all three Baltic states for the upcoming winter season with three new routes, including Riga to Faro, Tallinn to Madeira, and Gran Canaria to Ljubijana.
