Latvian airline airBaltic will open a new base in Tampere, Finland in May 2022. airBaltic will connect Tampere with six direct flights in addition to continued operations to Riga, Latvia.

Our decision to open a new base in Tampere shows our strong commitment to this city, and will offer more convenient and affordable travel options for many Finnish passengers.”

Starting from May 2022, airBaltic will perform direct flights from Tampere to Oslo (Norway) and Copenhagen (Denmark), Frankfurt and Munich (both Germany) as well as sunny leisure destinations Malaga (Spain) and Rhodes (Greece).
Atlantic Joint Business partners announce new Summer 2022 European and North American routes
The Atlantic Joint Business – the joint venture that started in 2010, between American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia, with Finnair joining in 2013, LEVEL in 2017 and Aer Lingus in 2021 – has launched a new selection of routes for Summer 2022, including new gateways: London to Portland, Barcelona to Los Angeles and Helsinki to Dallas.
Customers can mix and match flights operated by any of the six carriers to get the best deals and enjoy smoother connections through coordinated schedules. The new routes are:
Aer Lingus has launched two new North American routes from its new base in Manchester: Manchester to JFK New York, launched 1 December operating year-round, seven times a week, utilising an A321neo; and Manchester to Orlando, launched 11 December operating year-round, utilising an A330-300.
American Airlines will operate Charlotte to Rome between 5 April 2022 to 29 October 2022, seven times a week, using a 777-200 aircraft.
British Airways will fly from Heathrow to Portland from 3 June 2022 onwards, five times a week utilising a 787-8; and a returning service Heathrow to Pittsburgh, also from 3 June 2022 onwards, four times a week using the same aircraft type. BA is also running Gatwick to JFK New York from 28 May 2022 onwards using a 777.
Finnair will operate Helsinki to Dallas from 6 February 2022 to 30 October 2022, four times a week using an A350; and Helsinki to Seattle from 1 June 2022 to 29 October 2022, three times a week using an A330.
Iberia has increased its capacity from April to October2022: up two daily flights Madrid - New York; up two daily flights Madrid – Miami; up one daily Madrid-Chicago flight; up to six weekly frequencies Madrid-Los Angeles; up to five weekly flights Madrid - San Juan de Puerto Rico; and up to 19 weekly flights Madrid – Mexico.
From 28 March 2022 onwards, LEVEL will operate Barcelona to Los Angeles four times a week, using an A330-200
