airBaltic launches new direct route from Tallinn to Madeira

airBaltic, the flag carrier of Latvia, has launched a new direct route connecting Tallinn, Estonia with Madeira, Portugal.

The service, which will operate once per week until March 28, 2026, is the first to fly direct from Tallinn to Madeira.

“This new route offers Estonian travellers the chance to experience a distinctive winter escape combining nature, adventure, and mild climate,” said Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP of network management at airBaltic.

“Alongside Madeira, our expanding leisure portfolio for the colder months continues to provide Estonian travellers with a wide variety of destinations and reinforces airBaltic’s position as the leading carrier in Estonia.”

airBaltic’s winter schedule also includes flights to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Nice, and Barcelona.

For the upcoming winter season, airBaltic will increase its Tallinn-Amsterdam service from 10 to 14 weekly flights.

Travellers from Tallinn will also benefit from one-stop connections via Riga to Dubai six times per week.

During the winter season, airBaltic will also continue to serve popular skiing destinations from Tallinn, including Salzburg, Geneva, and Munich.

airBaltic operates one of Europe’s youngest fleets, consisting of 50 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which fly more than 130 routes.
