Latvian airline airBaltic has launched a new pilot offer, effective January 1, 2026. The airline said the “cornerstone” of this new offer is the added commuting roster. This allows pilots to work at airBaltic without needing to relocate, which the airline said was designed to attract foreign pilots.
The airline said the offer was developed in “direct response” to feedback from its current pilots and market insights, adding that it has a “strong emphasis" on competitive salary, work-life balance, commuting flexibility, and transparent career progression. The new competitive slary structure will include predictable increases “in the coming years”. Captains will have a clear progression path across 10 salary levels with guaranteed annual advancement.
“With this new offer, we are raising the standard for how an airline supports its pilots throughout their careers," said airBaltic SVP flight operations Robbert Strating. "The package provides not only competitive conditions but also a clear commitment to long-term career satisfaction at airBaltic.”
airBaltic is hiring captains and senior first officers for the A220-300 aircraft.
