airBaltic continues to expand network for summer 2026

airBaltic will introduce four additional new routes for its summer 2026 schedule, building on a previous network expansion announced in September.

In March 2026, airBaltic will introduce a three-times-weekly service from Riga to Warsaw.

In April 2026, it will introduce twice-weekly services from Riga to Gothenburg and Vilnius to Chisinau.

And in May 2026, it will introduce a three-times-weekly service from Vilnius to Zurich.

Combined with its network announcements from September, the Latvian flag carrier will fly to ten new destinations and four reinstated destinations in summer 2026.

The summer 2026 network expansion will significantly increase seat capacity across all three Baltic states, the airline said.

Riga will see a 12% capacity increase with 400,000 additional seats, Tallinn 11% with 90,000 additional seats, and Lithuania will see a 12% increase across Vilnius, Palanga, and Kaunas collectively, with more than 150,000 additional seats.

Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP of network management at airBaltic, said the summer 2026 expansion reflects the changing makeup of the airline’s customer base and their travel needs.

In early September 2025, airBaltic announced new services from Riga to Kaunas (Lithuania), Oulu (Finland), and Antalya (Turkey), as well as from Tallinn to Athens (Greece), Hamburg (Germany), and Vienna (Austria).

Furthermore, airBaltic will increase frequencies on 30 existing routes from the Baltic capitals – 20 from Riga, four from Tallinn, and seven from Vilnius.

During the upcoming summer season, airBaltic will operate more than 110 routes across all its bases, representing an approximately 9% increase compared to this summer.

airBaltic is the largest airline in the Baltics, operating one of Europe’s youngest fleets with 51 modern Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
