airBaltic has completed the construction of its new Baltic Cargo Hub — the largest dedicated air cargo handling facility in the Baltics, the company said on February 19, 2025.
The company said construction was completed on schedule. The facility is part of its commitment to strengthening air cargo infrastructure in the region.
With construction complete, the airline is preparing to soon launch full-scale operations at the facility. The 6,895m² facility is designed to support the growing demand for efficient and modern air cargo services at Riga Airport. airBaltic said the hub will position the airport as a key logistics hub in northern Europe, as well as improving the airline's cargo product offering.
The opening of the Baltic Cargo Hub is planned for later in spring.
