AirAsia Philippines eyes bullish international travel market in Q4 of 2022

AirAsia Philippines is strengthening its partnership with transportation and tourism agencies present in its routes as travel demand peaks in the Q4 of 2022. Recently the team from AirAsia Philippines met the policymakers from Singapore and South Korea.

AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla, said: “We are determined to achieve our pre-pandemic international capacity by Q2 of 2023, and surpass our records come the second half. The demand for international travel is getting stronger every month as more countries relax their border protocols. We plan on increasing our frequency to our current routes and growing our number of destinations before the year ends.”

AirAsia Philippines saw an outstanding demand for international travel recently where 55% of total sales came from travel bookings going to Seoul, Singapore, Osaka, and Bangkok.

Singapore ranks third to fourth among top-preferred destinations by AirAsia guests as the airline flies to Singapore four times weekly. Also, AirAsia Philippines is set to grow its Cebu-Seoul frequency to four times a week starting November 2022.
