AirAsia owner to go public in US listing
Capital A, owner of AirAsia, has finalised a business combination agreement with special purpose acquisition company Aetherium Acquisition in the US public markets. The deal values Capital A, which will be known as Capital A International (CAPI), at $1.15bn. ""This listing grants us access to the world's most extensive and liquid capital markets, enhancing the company's international credibility and presence while creating value for our shareholders,"" said Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes. Aetherium CEO and chairman Jonathan Chan said: ""This collaboration presents a distinctive opportunity for US capital market investors to participate in the rapid expansion of Asean economies through a company that embodies the region's diverse culture, energy, and emerging opportunities.""
