Air Transat is to expand its summer non-stop service between Montreal and Lyon to winter in 2023.
The Quebec-based carrier said it would be the sole airline to operate this route all year, meaning passengers "will be able to discover or rediscover this city renowned for its gastronomy and enjoy easy access to the French Alps, a world-class ski destination".
The winter flights will be thrice-weekly. Air Transat flies to Paris all year and seven other French cities on a seasonal basis.
"As the leading carrier between Quebec and France, it was natural for us to add Lyon and its region to our winter programme," said Michèle Barre, Air Transat's chief revenue officer.
