Air Serbia is planning to wet-lease eight aircraft this summer, according to regional media reports. The airline will wet-lease an ATR72-600 from Romania’s Air Connect and two A320’s from Dan Air.
Air Serbia has also signed a letter of intent to wet-lease two Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Lithuanian charter flights operator KlasJet.
“Renewing the fleet is one of Air Serbia’s strategic goals. Earlier this year, Air Serbia took delivery of its fifth ATR72-600 and wet-leased a sixth unit. Also, this year we will add at least two more ATRs. During the summer we expect the third A330 to join the fleet,” commented Air Serbia head of network planning and scheduling, Bojan Arandjelovic.
In January, Air Serbia said it is also wet-leasing an Air Connect ATR72-600 and the carrier also plans to dry lease two ATR72-600 aircraft. The airline is in discussions to dry-lease two A321 aircraft.
