Air Serbia has seen an increase in its operations over the month of October 2019 as 240,696 passengers flew with the airline, up 13.4% compared to the 212,314 passengers from October 2018.

This marks the best result for the airline since its launch in 2013.

Its passenger load factor on flights from Belgrade was increased by 3 percentage points to 75%.

During October 2019, Air Serbia operated flights to 45 destinations from Belgrade and 12 from Niš, compared to the 37 destinations from the Serbian capital in the same period last year.

“We are very satisfied with the results achieved and we are convinced the trend will continue in the coming period. New destinations, launched in June as the result of careful strategic planning, proved to be the right move which generated significant growth. We are also happy that, with our results, we had contributed to the development of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, whose growth reached almost 10 per cent in Q3 2019,” stated Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naysmith.

The airline recently announced a codeshare agreement with Finnair in a bid to provide passengers with enhanced travel options between Serbia and key destinations in the USA and Asia.
