Air Senegal is planning to commence its Washington route via New York with twice weekly flights starting September 2, becoming the only African company to operate regular direct flights connecting US and Senegal.
The airline will deploy its A330 on the route with a capacity of 290 passengers, including 32 seats in business, 21 in premium and 237 in economy class.
This flight will expand the destinations served by Air Senegal to Ziguinchor, Cap Skirring, Banjul, Conakry, Praia, Abidjan, Nouakchott, Bamako Cotonou, Douala, Libreville, Casablanca and more.
Ibrahima Kane, managing director, Air Senegal said: “It is with great pleasure that we announce a new link provided year-round between Senegal and the United States of America, which is part of the strategic expansion of our intercontinental network. In addition, the United States remains a high priority market for our diaspora, which is well represented in the area. With this flight, Air Senegal will make the USA even more accessible, and therefore better connectivity will strengthen the strong economic and socio-cultural ties between the USA and Senegal.”
