Air Peace likely to place an order for Boeing 787s in future

Air Peace is contemplating an order for Boeing 787s in near future as per CEO Allen Onyema. Speaking at the webcast hosted by the African Airlines Association he said: “We have our B777s, and we are also discussing with Boeing for the Dreamliner, which I feel will come very soon."

The CEO refrained from giving any further details about the order. Air Peace awaiting the delivery of other Boeing and Embraer aircraft.

The airline has a firm order of fifteen Boeing 737 MAX, including seven 737 MAX 8 aircraft and eight 737 MAX 10s. There are also outstanding orders for eight Embraer E195-E2s out of a total order of thirteen, out of which five are already delivered as per Embraer order book.

Air Peace’s has a mixed fleet of 32 aircraft including Boeing 777s, A320s, ERJ-145 and Dornier 328.

Regarding the 787, it is likely that any future aircraft deliveries could be delayed due to the recent production flaw. Boeing temporarily paused delivering its Dreamliners over documentation issues related to a fuselage component.
