Air New Zealand has launched a new service between Auckland and Seoul, South Korea running three times a week.
The direct service will utilise Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Air New Zealand acting chief executive officer Jeff McDowall said: “Inbound leisure travel from South Korea to New Zealand has grown significantly in recent years and we expect the numbers of visitors from the South Korean market to grow further, presenting a significant tourism growth opportunity for the New Zealand economy.
“With a population of more than 10 million residents, Seoul is a dynamic mix of outdoor adventure, contemporary urban life, historically rich temples and a lively nightlife – we’re certain Kiwis will be keen to check out this new Asian destination.”
