Start-up airline Air Lituanica has entered into a cooperation agreement with Estonian Air to help it grow having failed to find a strategic investor so far.
The new Lithuanian airline plans to begin flights from June 30 with a regular Brussels service (daily) and add Amsterdam as of early July (daily) and Berlin as of early August (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun).
The government-controlled Estonian airline has also agreed to lease an Embraer 175 aircraft to Air Lituanica until end-2015. The latter's timetable has been fine-tuned to make use of Estonian Air's agreements with other airlines for connect flights to some 100 destinations. Additionally, Air Lituanica's flights will be operated with Estonian Air's flight numbers.
