Air Lease Corp, Steven Udvar-Házy newly formed aircraft leasing, purchasing and financing provider, has signed a final agreement for the acquisition of 15 firm Embraer 190 jets. The deal, which was announced at the Farnborough Air Show, includes five of the 15 orders re-confirmable, and in addition, the deal has five options. The first delivery will be made in June 2011.
“We are honored that Air Lease Corp, along with founder Steven Udvar-Házy, has put its trust and confidence with Embraer,” says Paulo César de Souza e Silva, Embraer executive vice president, airline market. “This contract strengthens our commitment to Air Lease as we aim to support them with our outstanding attributes of our E-Jets as they introduce the aircraft mid next year.”
