Air Lease has announced long-term lease agreements with Magnifica Air for six new Airbus aircraft, including four new A220-300s and two new A321-200neos.

The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered to the Magnifica Air in 2027.

Air Lease said it is the first company to provide “brand new” aircraft to the airline.

Florida-based Magnifica Air is a luxury airline that plans to launch in 2027, offering a “hybrid solution” that combines elements of first-class and private jet travel.

The airline will launch with a fleet of A220-300 and A321neo aircraft, completed in partnership with Comlux and delivered through Air Lease.

Each aircraft will carry 45–54 passengers, with two or four private suites per aircraft and bespoke business-class recliners.

The A321neo is configured for longer-haul routes (with four suites), while the A220-300 is configured for mid-haul routes (with two suites).

“With no overhead bins, cabins open into expansive spaces finished with adaptive lighting and hand-crafted seating, culinary programmes developed with world-class chefs and sommeliers, and the personalized hospitality of a private members' club,” the airline said.

Magnifica Air's fleet will also be using the world's first commercial-scale surface purification system, powered by patented Aviation Clean Air (ACA) technology.

The airline said that sustainability is “central” to its design, that Magnifica Air will be carbon-neutral at launch.

Over 7 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) will be integrated into its East Coast operations each year, alongside solar-powered lounges and a "robust" carbon offset programme. The airline is also exploring hybrid-electric aircraft for the future.

From launch, Magnifica Air will operate six to seven daily departures connecting Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Bay Area, Dallas and Houston, with seasonal routes to Napa Valley and the Caribbean.

Alongside scheduled services, Magnifica Air will offer VIP charters and curated trips to cultural and sporting events.

Magnifica Air operates under FAA Part 121 Supplemental Ops, with predictive safety analytics and one spare aircraft for every four, in an effort to ensure reliability and consistency of service.

With backing from CIG Companies, the airline is aiming to scale to 50 aircraft flying to both domestic and international destinations.
