Air Lease Corporation has announced a long term lease agreement with Etihad Airways for one new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which is scheduled for delivery September 2014.
Alex Khatibi, Executive Vice President of Air Lease Corporation, said: “Following our recent placement of a new Airbus A321, ALC is pleased to have reached an agreement with Etihad Airways for the long term lease of one Boeing 777-300ER. This transaction further emphasizes our strong commitment to Etihad Airways’ growing business and fleet expansion. ALC’s management team will continue to work closely with Etihad Airways to support a strong fleet plan throughout their affiliated airline networks.”
Kevin Knight, Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at Etihad Airways, said: “Building on our strong ties with ALC, we are delighted to close another aircraft lease agreement, this time for one Boeing 777-300ER three-class aircraft. Our expansion plans are well on track, and this 19th B777-300ER provides us with additional capacity and flexibility immediately prior to the entry into service of our first Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in Q4 2014.”
