Air Dolomiti is expecting to take delivery of an E195 this week, following the transfer of ownership from Austrian Airlines, which was completed last week.
The aircraft is the first of 13 E195s that the Italian carrier is expecting, and will bring its current Embraer fleet to 27. Once received, the aircraft will begin operating in March 2026.
Air Dolomiti, part of Lufthansa Group, said the arrival of the aircraft marks the beginning of an “ambitious programme” to introduce the 13 E195s into commercial operations by 2028.
The E195s will progressively replace the airline’s nine 108-seat E190s, ultimately bringing Air Dolomiti’s total fleet to 30 aircraft.
Fleet expansion will also be complemented by network expansion. During the 2025/26 winter season, Air Dolomiti will fly to 18 destinations from its Frankfurt hub, including new destinations such as Amsterdam, Birmingham, Bordeaux, Basel, Prague, and Zurich.
From Munich, it will fly to 15 destinations, including three new connections to Ljubljana, Luxembourg, and Zurich.
Meanwhile, Air Dolomiti has increased its network within the Lufthansa Group. It now operates routes on behalf of Austrian Airlines, flying connections to the Vienna hub from Italian airports such as Milan Linate, Bologna, and Venice, and from European airports such as Belgrade and Košice.
Air Dolomiti said it has had an "exceptional" 2025. By the end of the year, it expects to carry over 4 million passengers and operate more than 53,000 flights with a load factor of 75%.
“The year has been marked by significant growth and an increasingly deep integration process within the Lufthansa Group,” said Air Dolomiti.
“The airline has strengthened its role as a strategic carrier by consolidating existing operational synergies and laying the foundations for further network development.”
