Air China to be launch customer of COMAC's widebody C929 aircraft

Air China will be the launch customer of Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC's widebody C929 aircraft after both parties signed an agreement at the China International Aviation and Aerospace airshow in Zhuhai on November 12, 2024.

The C929 widebody aircraft will have 280 seats with a range of 12,000 kilometres. The aircraft is still currently under development. Details of any order quantity or expected delivery date of the C929 were not disclosed. 

Air China took delivery of its first C919 aircraft in late August this year before its inaugural flight on September 10.
