Air China has amended an order with Boeing from 15 787-8 aircraft to 15 787-9s. The airline said the move will increase its fleet capacity by 11%. The original order was placed in 2005 with deliveries planned for 2008. Delays to the 787 program have given the airline more chance to review their needs and amend accordingly.
