Air Canada has announced new air-to-rail connection options for customers to continue their onward journeys at four major European airports. Passengers travelling with the Canadian national carrier can now book rail trips to destinations throughout France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, with customers able to check in for all segments of their trip prior to departure.
As well as adding convenience, “by facilitating the use of rail for the short-haul segments of our customers’ journeys, we can provide sustainable travel options when touring Europe,” highlighted Mark Galardo, executive vice president of revenue and network planning at Air Canada.
New collaborations with platforms AccesRail and WorldTicket will also help customers ‘create a seamless travel itinerary,’ with automatic amendments to rail tickets for passengers experiencing flight disruption.
