Air Astana adds new frequency from London Heathrow, adds Ulan Bator and Tehran to network

Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s national airline, is adding a new, fourth weekly service from London Heathrow to Astana, commencing June 2. The new service will operate from Terminal 4 at 17.15 on Mondays, complementing the existing Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday schedule.

Air Astana is also introducing its new direct, three times weekly service to Mongolia’s capital city, Ulan Bator from Kazakhstan’s capital early in June.

Another new destination on the Air Astana network, effective June 2nd is Tehran.  Air Astana will launch a new direct service to Iran’s capital from Almaty on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  The new service will be served by Airbus A320 aircraft.

Air Astana is a joint venture between Kazakhstan’s national wealth fund, Samruk Kazyna, and BAE Systems, with respective shares of 51% and 49%.
