Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched twice weekly direct flights to Abu Dhabi International and Islam Karimov Tashkent International airport.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO, of Air Arabia said: “We remain confident that the new service will serve both leisure and business travelers and will further contribute to the growth of the travel and tourism sector of both nations while providing our customers with value-for-money product and added convenience.”
After starting operations in July 2020, the airline has expanded its fleet from two Airbus A320 aircraft to eight new planes. Besides the airline has also expanded its operations to 26 destinations from Abu Dhabi.
Other carriers have also started operations in Uzbekistan. Flynas commenced direct flights between Jeddah and the Uzbek capital in September 2022.
flydubai also launched twice-weekly flights to Namangan in Uzbekistan in September 2022 becoming the first UAE carrier to offer direct flights from Dubai to Namangan.
