Air Algerie will host the 46th Annual General Assembly (AGA) and summit of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA). This annual event, which was last held in Mombasa, Kenya, in November 2013, is expected to attract over 400 high profile delegates from the aviation industry in Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America.

As a major gathering of senior global aviation executives in Africa, the AFRAA AGA annually brings together global aviation leaders and stakeholders to take stock of aviation development in Africa and to plan the future. 2014 will see Air Algerie play host to the AFRAA AGA for the third time in history, the first time in 1984 and the second time in 1990. Dr. Elijah Chingosho, AFRAA Secretary General said: “The AGA will evaluate the growing air transport opportunities in Africa and how operators can provide safe, reliable, efficient and profitable air services to support the continent’s development. By taking stock of the market realities, African airlines will be able to mobilize the necessary resources and forge partnerships to grow their market share.”
