Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has signed a new comprehensive engine maintenance agreement with Shenzhen Airlines and its subsidiary, Kunming Airlines.
The three-year agreement will cover the period from 2025 to 2027, and will see AFI KLM E&M providing maintenance services for CFM56-7B engines at KLM’s engine facilities in Amsterdam.
Tommaso Auriemma, vice president of Asia Pacific sales at AFI KLM E&M, said the new agreement underscores Shenzhen Airlines' trust in its maintenance services, after a decade of partnership.
“As airlines face the ongoing challenges of fleet optimisation and peak engine removal cycles, our tailored slot management and global AOG support will ensure Shenzhen Airlines and Kunming Airlines continue to operate at the highest standards of safety and efficiency,” he said.
Wu Jun, vice president of Shenzhen Airlines, said that AFI KLM E&M was chosen as one of the airline's “primary suppliers” of CFM56-7B engine repairs based on reliability and operational efficiency factors.
“We believe that with the company's extensive experience in engine maintenance and its global service capabilities and network, we can achieve better growth and ensure the safety of passenger travel,” he said.
