Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has signed component support agreements for Boeing aircraft with Angola's national airline TAAG and Air Tanzania, strengthening its position in Africa.
Its new five-year component support agreement with TAAG includes a pool and repair component support, as well as a main base kit (MBK) for its aircraft fleet of five 777-300 and three 777-200.
""This five-year agreement will ensure the reliable and efficient maintenance of our Boeing 777 fleet, which is crucial for our operations,"" said TAAG CEO Nelson de Oliveira.
""We are thrilled to see today the start of this partnership with TAAG on their Boeing 777 fleet,"" said AFI executive vice president Gery Mortreux. ""We will continue to provide them with the highest quality pool and repair component support. And through this partnership we are also excited to deepen our footprint in Africa and expand our reach in the region.”
Its agreement with Air Tanzania covers the support of the growing airline's new 737 MAX 9 fleet, allowing it access to AFI's comprehensive pool of components and around-the-clock engineer support.
""With the inclusion of Air Tanzania among our esteemed clients we are poised to sustain our growth and provide unparalleled support services to airlines across the continent,"" said AFI KLM E&M VP sales for Middle East and Africa Aymeric Mechin.
The program with Air Tanzania aims to streamline unscheduled maintenance and repair activities while optimising the efficiency of the airline's 737 MAX 9 fleet.
