AFG Aviation Ireland (AFG) has completed its acquisition of one Boeing 737-300F aircraft from Central Airlines in China, bearing MSN 26854.
The company said the transaction further strengthens its presence and its continued growth in the global freighter market.
Last month, AFG completed the acquisition of one Airbus A321-231PCF freighter aircraft from an affiliate of US-based Nexus Aviation Ventures, bearing MSN 2919.
Also last month, as covered by Airline Economics, parent company Aircraft Finance Germany appointed Shiekuma Gemade as its new executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Gemade was most recently head of fleet at Riyadh Air, with responsibilities for aircraft acquisitions, fleet planning, and building an ambitious new aircraft programme for the start-up airline.
He previously held leadership roles at Atlas Air Worldwide and Titan Aviation Leasing, where he managed a significant lease portfolio of widebody freighters, built the lease management platform, and managed complex cross-border transactions.
