International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) has signed an agreement to add four A330-200 widebody aircraft to the Aerolíneas Argentinas (Aerolíneas) fleet this year.
“ILFC is honored to work with Aerolíneas to help support the airline’s strategic initiatives to grow its fleet and increase the network of long-range services throughout the region,” commented ILFC Chief Executive Officer Henri Courpron. “We are delighted to introduce the A330-200 aircraft to the Aerolineas fleet. This transaction highlights ILFC’s unique ability to provide a comprehensive, tailored fleet solution that meets our customer’s specific requirements.”
“For the last four years and under the Argentine State managed turnaround, Aerolineas
Argentinas has been committed to a solid business plan. Our widebody fleet has been modernized and simplified to serve a very challenging geographical network. On the process towards newer generation solutions, the introduction of four A330-200 from very prestigious and long standing partner ILFC represent a new step in the right direction,” said Sergio Garcia Gomez, VP Fleet Planning. “These modern Airbus aircraft will provide the latest in technologies and offer our passengers new levels of comfort and entertainment options while onboard.”
The four previously operated aircraft will be completely modernized with new cabin interiors including state-of-the-art Inflight Entertainment options available in every seat. Deliveries of the aircraft are scheduled to take place later this year.
