Russian carrier Aeroflot is all set to resume operations to previously served Asian destinations like Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand. By next month, Aeroflot plans to ramp up its operations to its popular Asian destinations. Starting October 9, 2022, Aeroflot will launch its operations between Moscow and Colombo once every week on its Airbus A330-300 fleet.

Aeroflot will resume daily flights to Bangkok by the end of October 2022 while Goa, a popular Indian tourist destination, will be added to the flight schedule from November 2, 2022.

Aeroflot will also resume regular flights to the Egyptian cities of Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. These flights will be operated on Airbus A330 widebody aircraft from October 1, 2022.

Aeroflot currently has a fleet of 305 aircraft, with 147 active, 31 inactive and 127 wet-leased aircraft.

Aeroflot recently increased its flight schedules between Moscow and St Petersburg from 31 to 45 daily flights, eyeing the international passenger demand. The airline has also scaled down its air fares by 21% compared to 2019.
