Aerocivil investigates four airlines

The Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics (Aerocivil), Colombia’s civil aviation regulator, is investigating Avianca, Aerolínea de Antioquia (ADA), EasyFly, and the state-operated SATENA for alleged failures to comply with various sales practices, such as price changes for tickets and double-click confirmation process rules when quoting fares online.

If found to be at fault, each airline could be found liable for up to 450 times the monthly minimum wages, or roughly US$110,000 (310 million pesos).

Four travel agencies are also included in the investigation.
