AerFin completes teardown of 777-300ER operated by Japan Airlines

AerFin recently completed the teardown of a 777-300ER, formerly operated by Japan Airlines, it said on June 20, 2025.

The company said the teardown will enhance its global used service materials (USM) inventory with “high-quality, serviceable material".

The majority components are now stored in Arizona and the majority of parts are in its Miami warehouse, allowing for its customers in the Americas to access “competitively priced" 777 materials.

This 777 is the first in a series to be acquired an dismantled by AerFin in the months ahead.

In other news, the company's chief commercial officer James Bennett has been appointed to Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association's (AFRA) board of directors. The organisation is dedicated to sustainable aircraft disassembly and recycling.
