AerCap has reported a robust performance in the fourth quarter, including repurchasing approximately 10 million shares at an average price of $62.86, totalling around $649 million.
The company also received cash insurance settlement proceeds of approximately $609 million. It recently received a $572 million insurance settlement from Russia’s Ural Airlines in relation to 18 aircraft and one engine leased to the airline.
AerCap signed $1.7 billion in financing transactions in 2023. The company had also signed 179 lease agreements, completed 52 purchases, and completed 36 sale transactions.
Similarly, the company reported positive numbers for its full year 2023 performance. Throughout 2023, AerCap repurchased 44 million shares at an average price of $59.09, totalling approximately $2.6 billion. The company signed $13.3 billion in financing transactions and received $1.3 billion in cash insurance.
In 2023, AerCap signed 592 lease agreements, and completed 173 purchases and 188 sales transactions.
