AerCap signed lease agreements for 27 aircraft, including 10 widebody and 17 narrowbody aircraft, during the second quarter of 2016. The lessor also purchased six aircraft, including four 787-9s and two A350-900s.
During the period, AerCap executed sale transactions for 35 aircraft, including three A319-100s, eight A320-200s, one A321-100, three A321-200s, two A330-200s, two A330-300s, one A340-600, four 737NGs, two 737 classics, five 767-300ERs and one 777-200ER from AerCap’s owned portfolio, and three 737 classics from AerCap’s managed portfolio. The company also signed financing transactions for $2.0 billion in the second quarter 2016.
As of June 30, 2016, AerCap's portfolio consisted of approximately 1,640 aircraft that were either owned, managed, or under contract to purchase.
