Aer Lingus has launched a new daily service from Dublin to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. The new year-round route, which made its first flight on September 1, is the second of three new transatlantic routes to commence this summer, marking the single largest expansion of Aer Lingus’ transatlantic network in its history. A direct new service to Los Angeles began in May and in late September a new four-times weekly service will launch from Dublin to Hartford, Connecticut.
Declan Kearney, Director of Communications, Aer Lingus, said: “We are delighted to commence our new direct service from Dublin to Newark, New Jersey, offering our guests from the UK even more options when visiting the Big Apple with Aer Lingus. With Hartford to follow in just a few weeks’ time, we will be operating 28 daily services across the Atlantic by the end of this month.”
