Greek airline Aegean disclosed on July 16, 2025, that it will add two new A321XLR aircraft, with deliveries expected in December 2025 and January 2026. The company said with these aircraft, the company will accelerate the launch of its flights to India.
“The A321neo XLR and LR aircraft mark the beginning of a new chapter for AEGEAN, with new possibilities for growth but also new options for our passengers and the connectivity of our country," said Aegean chairman Eftchios Vassilakis. "With new fleet capabilities, strong vertically integrated support infrastructure and most importantly drawing upon the creativity and strengths of our people, we plan to move forward with ambitious but also careful and consistent steps as always.”
The airline will launch new flights to New Delhi and Mumbai. The airline will launch five weekly flights to New Delhi from March 2026 and then three weekly flights to Mumbai from May 2026. The airline said it will disclose the exact flight schedule at the end of September when ticket sales start.
With these two aircraft, company's A320/A321neo order stands at 60 aircraft, with 36 being delivered to date.
The airline said future deliveries of its A321LR aircraft in 2027 and 2028, it will look to launch flights in destinations such as Bangalore, Seychelles, Maldives, Nairobi, Almaty, and Lagos. The company has four A321LR aircraft on order.
