Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) has completed its recent AJY Empennage Project in which its team removed and replaced the tailcone of an A320, something the company describes as a ‘significant milestone in [its] journey of providing specialised maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services’. It was the first time ADE has performed such a procedure.
The project stemmed from a critical inspection requirement for an AirAsia A320 tailcone and required the loan of specialist equipment and tools from Airbus. Ten dedicated personnel worked for a total of 720 hours in a project that took 72 hours to complete. ‘Notably, this procedure had been previously exclusive to aircraft manufacturers, making our successful execution all the more remarkable,’ concluded ADE.
