UK based Acro Aircraft Seating have reported record highs for exports during the 2014 fiscal year.
In the past financial year the aircraft seat manufacturer, based close to London’s Gatwick Airport, earned revenues of GBP£ 14.4m from export sales to maintain its long-term growth trend.
“During our last financial year almost 35% of sales were made to continental Europe (Germany and Netherlands) followed by just over 17% to the USA” stated Cameron Allan Acro’s Commercial Director. “The UK market remained strong thanks to continuing deliveries to Thomas Cook and Acro launch customer Jet2.com. Russia is currently our 5th largest market contributing just over 8% to revenue during the past financial year.”
2014 export sales revenues were almost three times higher than the GBP£ 5.5m reported for the prior year.
“2015 is set to become another record year for Acro” says Cameron Allan. “With GBP£24m of contracted sales already scheduled into our production system we are seeking to double our great success of 2014”.
Economy cabin specialist Acro offers airline customers an expanded product range featuring reclining or fixed-back pre-reclined seats and award-winning design innovation to enable an airline to reduce operating cost and improve passenger on-board experience.
The huge increase in sales means that the company has had to increase its workforce from 27 in December 2013 to 55 in October 2014.
