ACI Asia-Pacific and China Civil Airports Association sign MoU to strengthen cooperation

Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific and the China Civil Airports Association (CCAA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and promote excellence in airport operations and management.

The MOU will enhance the synergy between ACI Asia-Pacific and CCAA to promote regular exchanges of information and economic data, assessment of airport service quality, customer service best practices and capacity building initiatives through establishing communication mechanisms.

Commenting on the collaboration with CCAA, Stefano Baronci, director general, ACI Asia-Pacific said: “China is anticipated to be one of the most vibrant aviation markets, contributing 21% of the global passenger traffic growth in the next two decades. With the re-opening of the Chinese borders to international traffic in January 2023, the enhanced cooperation between ACI Asia-Pacific and CCAA comes at the perfect time to build for a brighter future of the aviation sector in the Region.”

Commenting on the MOU, Wang Ruiping, chair of CCAA said: “CCAA is willing to share resources, complement each other’s strengths and achieve common development goals on the basis of the signing the MoU. We expect the two sides to carry out in-depth and high-quality research in the fields of environment, health, safety, and sustainable development.”
