Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) Group signs five MoUs with Egypt civil aviation entities

Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) Group has signed five memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation, as the UAE and Egypt look to significantly expand their cooperation across the aviation industry.

The first MoU was signed by Royal Jet (UAE) and the Egyptian Airports Company, with the aim of enhancing luxury and private aviation services in Egypt and the wider region.

This MoU covers the development and operation of VIP and private aviation terminals in Egyptian and regional airports, management of private jet operations and business aviation services, and delivery of premium ground services for VIP clients.

The second MoU, signed by EgyptAir and Etihad Airways Engineering (Abu Dhabi), covers aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) cooperation between the two companies.

It aims to facilitate market expansion and knowledge exchange, industrial integration and technology transfer, human capital development, supply chain and logistics, and the establishment of joint MRO centres in the future.

The third MoU, signed by EgyptAir Academy and the Abu Dhabi Aviation Training Centre (ADA), sets out a strategic framework to enhance pilot and aviation training capabilities.

Among its initiatives are the preparation and implementation of basic (ab initio) and advanced (type rating) pilot training programmes, exchange of expertise and technical supervision in training design and education, and shared use of simulators and virtual/augmented reality training systems.

The fourth MoU, signed by GAL (UAE) and EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering, aims to support logistics and parts supply services for Egyptian airports and airlines.

The alliance will supply certified spare parts and components to Egyptian airports, airlines, and OEMs, and will implement end-to-end logistics solutions including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

It will also carry out a feasibility study for establishing a regional spare-parts supply hub in Egypt to serve local, regional, and international markets.

The fifth MoU, signed by Maximus Air (UAE) and EgyptAir Cargo, will see the two parties working together to enhance air freight services and logistics capabilities.

Together Maximus Air and EgyptAir cargo will coordinate on regional and global expansion initiatives, establish new cargo routes, create an integrated logistics network, and exchange knowledge and best practices to improve service quality and competitiveness.
