ABL Aviation has further expanded its global team with the appointment of Joey Zhao as Head of Asia-Pacific, ex-Japan in Hong Kong.
Before joining ABL Aviation, Zhao worked at Bocomm Aviation Leasing Ireland as the head of commercial, leading all airline relationships and origination efforts in the EMEA and Americas regions.
Zhao started his career at Bank of Communications Group as a HQ Management Trainee.
In his new role, Zhao will further strengthen ABL Aviation’s commercial leadership team as the company grows its strategic presence in key markets around the world. The appointment follows the recent addition of Umid Sharipov as MD, relationship management in Tokyo.

Zhao was named in the Airline Economics 40 under 40 Class of 2021.
