AAR expands MRO facility in Oklahoma City; inks distribution agreement with TRIUMPH
AAR has broke ground on its expansion for its MRO facility at the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City with a new three-bay facility. The over 80,000 square feet hangar and warehouse space will be constructed to accommodate all 737 variants, including the 737-10. It is expected to be operational by January 2026. ""We are especially excited about creating 200 additional full-time careers with AAR, which we expect to fill through local technical schools and workforce development partners who create opportunities though aviation-centric programming,"" said AAR chairman, president and CEO John Holmes. Considerable funding for the expansion was made through a grant secured by Oklahoma legislators, with the balance expected to be funded through rent concessions from the airport. AAR also signed an exclusive multi-year commercial distribution agreement with TRIUMPH's Actuation Products & Services business unit. Under the agreement, AAR will exclusively distribute TRIUMPH’s commercial actuation product line, which includes more than 100 top-level assemblies and their subcomponents used on various Boeing and Airbus commercial platforms. ""We are excited to distribute this product line as part of the AAR product portfolio given TRIUMPH’s reputation for quality,"" said AAR senior vice president of distribution Frank Landrio. The agreement will commence from January 2026.
