The American Airlines bankruptcy case is set to earn at least $375 million in fees and $16 million in expenses for legal teams.
Fee examiner Robert Keach recommended in a report that U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane approve $371.7 million in final fees, and $16.3 million in expenses to 47 professional groups who worked on the 23-month-long case.
The total does not include confidential financing fees paid to aircraft consultants SkyWorks Capital, which handled the restructuring of AA’s aircraft financing.
The bankruptcy case began on November 29th 2011, when holding company AMR Corp, American Airlines and its subsidiaries sought protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy code.
