To date, Boeing is ahead of European rival Airbus in terms of aircraft orders for 2014. Boeing has 275 gross aircraft orders, while Airbus has booked 158 orders during the first three months of the year. On a net order basis, Boeing remains ahead with 235 to Airbus’ 103. Airbus has made 141 aircraft deliveries so far this year, whereas Boeing has delivered 161.
Both manufacturers intend to increase monthly aircraft production.
