Air France has financed one A350-900 through a sustainability-linked aircraft secured term loan via a Japanese operating lease with a call option (JOLCO), which closed on May 27, 2024. The financing conditions are linked to Air France achieving certain sustainability performance targets, consisting of proportion of new-generation aircraft, as well as its consumption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in comparison to its total fuel use. Credit Agricole CIB acted as global arranger, sustainability coordinator, alongside E.SUN Commercial Bank, Bank of Communications, as well as Credit Industriel et Commercial, a lender in the transaction.
