CleanJoule has begun the certification process for its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) product, CycloSAF to be blended with conventional jet fuel. The company began the ASTM International’s D4054 process for CycloSAF on September 24, 2024. CleanJoule said its CycloSAF synthetic blending component is 10% more energy dense than typical kerosene Jet A/A-1 fuel while “tapping abundant waste biomass as the feedstock”. “We are positioned to have our industrial demonstration plant ready to commence production as we receive approval to sell CycloSAF industry wide,” said CleanJoule CEO and founder Mukund Karanjikar.
