US airlines carried 81.2 million passengers in April 2024, both domestically and internationally, according to the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). Unadjusted, the figures represent a record high for the month and up 4.7% from the same period a year prior. Unadjusted domestic passengers in April 2024 reached a record of 70.6 million, as well as international passengers boarded at 10.65 million. Adjusted for seasonality, April’s passenger numbers were at 80.8 million and marked a 4.3% increase over April 2023.
